"The CLEAR Act" Stuck in Congress: Crypto Regulation, More Frustrating Than a Bull Market
The US "CLEAR Act" has recently fallen into the classic political cycle of "possibly passing, or possibly being delayed further." The reason is simple: the Senate's priorities are already piled high, and although the crypto bill is important, it’s not yet important enough to unify all politicians' opinions.
What do crypto circles fear most? Not a crash, but uncertainty. Because when regulation is vague, capital hesitates; when capital hesitates, the market begins to fluctuate wildly.
Many project teams are now in a very funny situation: shouting "decentralized future" on one hand, while frantically waiting for the US to grant legal status on the other. Previously, everyone said blockchain didn’t need government, now they realize that without regulatory backing, big funds simply dare not enter on a large scale.
But from another perspective, the delay of the bill also indicates one thing: the US can no longer ignore the crypto industry. If an industry is small enough, Congress simply doesn’t bother to discuss it; only things that could truly impact financial order will enter long-term political contention.
And the market often trades on expectations in advance. Even if the bill is temporarily stalled, as long as the direction becomes clearer gradually, funds will start to position early. Because capital always moves faster than news.
So the current crypto market is very much like the last five minutes before a lottery draw: everyone is tense, but no one wants to leave the scene. #30年期美债收益率突破5%
