Why are men and women always out of sync in the rhythm of intimate relationships?

Many women: on the surface, pursue romance, emotions, and a sense of ceremony; but after entering a long-term relationship, what they truly evaluate are: security, stability, responsibility, future structure, and ongoing emotional support. So they often ultimately return to reality.
Many men: on the surface, emphasize practicality: career, logic, efficiency, and avoid discussing feelings; but at the deepest level of intimacy, they are more likely to cling to an "idealized emotion": hoping to be firmly chosen, understood, admired, and unconditionally supported. So men, in their bones, tend to believe more in love.
