Iran Negotiation Team: US Must Show Flexibility or Talks Will Collapse

Abstract generation in progress
On May 24, sources reported that the Iranian negotiation team stated that if the US does not demonstrate flexibility in negotiations, the talks between Iran and the US will ultimately collapse. Iran is currently unwilling to engage in discussions regarding its nuclear program, and any related negotiations must be predicated on the US taking confidence-building measures. The unfreezing of Iran's frozen assets is one of the core conditions for Iran to initiate negotiations, while the shipping passage rules in the Strait of Hormuz represent another contentious issue between the two sides. Although the US has accepted some of Iran's demands, three key issues remain unresolved, and Iran is preparing alternative response plans.
