ME News Message: On May 15 (UTC+8), Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi said that the issue of enriched uranium we are involved in is quite complex. An agreement has been reached with the United States to postpone negotiations regarding enriched uranium materials. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in New Delhi on Friday that Tehran has “no trust” in the U.S., and would only consider negotiations if Washington shows a “serious attitude.” He said this during his attendance at the BRICS foreign ministers’ meeting, adding that Iran is trying to maintain the current ceasefire to create room for diplomatic efforts. Araghchi emphasized that Iran has long lacked trust in the U.S., and said that any communication under the current circumstances depends on whether the U.S. demonstrates a “serious and credible stance.” He also said that Iran still hopes to maintain the ceasefire, leaving opportunities for subsequent diplomatic engagement and de-escalation of the situation. Only Washington shows a serious attitude — this sentence highlights the key point, it will be tested.

Delaying negotiations is a tactic of retreat to advance cleverly.

Is the enrichment uranium issue complicated? If it were simple, it would have been settled long ago.

The choice of New Delhi for this occasion is good; the multilateral stage adds drama to bilateral negotiations.

A ceasefire is the bottom line, diplomatic space is the goal, and Iran's calculations are ringing true.
