Abstract generation in progress
AIMPACT News, May 23 (UTC+8), Rivian launched the AI digital assistant Rivian Assistant in software update 2026.15, available to all owners subscribed to or trialing the Connect+ service. The assistant is compatible with Gen1 (2024 model and earlier) and Gen2 vehicles, and can be activated via steering wheel buttons, touchscreen icons, or voice trigger words "Hey Rivian"/"OK, Rivian." Rivian Assistant runs on a private cloud, with deep subsystem integration capabilities similar to BMW and Mercedes-Benz products, allowing control of vehicle settings, air conditioning, navigation, media, messages, and calls, as well as functions like consulting the owner’s manual, answering questions, searching for information, explaining alerts, and troubleshooting. Rivian’s electric vehicle electronic architecture, developed from scratch, previously received a $5 billion investment from Volkswagen Group. Its self-developed infotainment system is well received by owners, but the company currently has no plans to support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

Finally, no need to tap the screen to find settings; just speak aloud.

Hey Rivian sounds catchier than OK Rivian, I suggest defaulting to the former.

It's indeed a pity that there is no CarPlay, but deep integration has been replaced.

Can check the manual for troubleshooting? In the future, ask AI first before deciding whether to go to the 4S shop.
