Abstract generation in progress
AIMPACT News, May 23 (UTC+8), Luma released the flagship image model Uni-1.1 API, offering text generation and image editing features. The API is divided into two tiers: "uni-1" starting at $0.0404 per image, and "uni-1-max" at $0.10 per image, both supporting 2048-pixel resolution output. Additional reference images cost $0.003 each, up to 9 images, with prices comparable to Google and OpenAI. In Arena testing, this model ranked seventh to eighth in two categories, behind OpenAI, Google, and Grok. Luma is advancing the cooperation and launch timing with AWS platform. The web version is now available, equipped with text-image understanding capabilities and built-in reasoning functions, suitable for generating multiple image variants and other iterative workflows.

2048 pixels are enough but not top-tier; for print-quality needs, you'll have to look elsewhere.

If AWS goes live successfully, enterprise orders are expected to increase significantly.

The built-in reasoning feature is interesting; it saves you from having to write prompt engineering yourself.

A two-tiered pricing strategy is quite clever: first attract new users with low-priced UNI-1, then maximize revenue from professional users willing to pay.
