According to Crypto Noticias, a report has emerged that investigators in Spain have found leads involving crypto assets in a Plus Ultra case related to former Spanish prime minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. The report says that the judge handling the case has authorized the seizure of digital assets such as BTC, LTC, and others that the subjects under investigation may have hidden in virtual wallets, which can be technically custody-managed by a digital asset custody entity under Prosegur. The case involves the Spanish government providing €53 million in rescue funding to Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas in 2021, with investigation directions including alleged influence peddling transactions, money laundering, document forgery, and criminal organizations, among others.
