Golden Finance reports that on May 23, according to CCTV, Iran’s Foreign Minister Alaragchi said in a social media post on the evening of the 22nd that he spoke by phone with UN Secretary-General Guterres to exchange views on the latest regional situation and on diplomatic progress between Iran and the United States, mediated by Pakistan. Alaragchi said: “The United States has repeatedly betrayed trust and carried out military aggression against Iran. Its contradictory positions and its repeated overreaching demands are all factors that hinder the progress of negotiations mediated by Pakistan.” Alaragchi also said that despite harboring strong doubts about the United States, Iran still participates in the relevant diplomatic process with a responsible and highly serious attitude, and strives to achieve a reasonable and fair outcome.
