Lately, when I look at whether project teams are “getting work done,” I actually focus on how the treasury is spending its money. It’s not enough to just write “ecosystem incentives” in a PPT—I want to see whether there are corresponding milestones after the money goes out: code updates, product versions, partnership rollouts, and even small features are fine, as long as they can be matched up. The worst is when treasury spending melts away like ice cream—there’s a big show for a while, then everything turns into “market/consultant/community operations,” and the milestones always stay “on the way”… I’m not acting tough; I often get swayed by narratives too, but these days Meme and celebrity call-outs are starting another round. Old players advise newcomers not to take the final baton—I truly believe that. Anyway, I’d rather wait until they actually get things done; even if it takes longer, that’s fine.
