Recently, I've seen more L2 arguments, comparing TPS, fees, and subsidies, with quite lively banter. To be honest, as an ordinary person, I only care about two things: smooth interactions without delays, and gas fees that don’t make me feel like I’m losing my small savings. The current approach is to put small, high-frequency transactions on L2, leaving the mainnet only for “must-do” things, like final asset settlements or important authorization changes, even if it costs a bit more for the certainty.
Another compromise is not to turn the process into eight jumps just to save a few bucks, crossing chains back and forth, which wastes time and patience. Anyway, I’ll first calculate whether this operation is worth adding the risk and hassle; if not, I’ll just skip it and stay quiet. As anti-scam measures become stricter, I now prefer fewer interactions so I can keep my accounts in sync.
