I'm actually most afraid of not missing opportunities, but of projects quietly changing the rules without me noticing. Recently, when looking at the project "Trustworthy or Not," I, as a newbie, focus on three things: don't just look at the green dots on GitHub, check what was recently changed, and see if there are explanations for core permissions-related commits; don't just stare at the words "Audited" in the audit report, first find the conclusion and the page with known risks, and see if there are disclaimers about "uncovered upgrades/multisig/governance"; upgrades and multisig are more critical, such as the keys, who holds them, whether there's a timelock, and if it can be bypassed temporarily... Basically, it's about "who can change the code with one click if something goes wrong." Additionally, during extreme situations like fund rate spikes, whether the group argues for a reversal or continues to pump the bubble, I prefer to first confirm whether the protocol I hold has suddenly upgraded at this time—stay calm and wait it out.
