Arbitrum Cryptocurrency Seizure Case Lawyer Acts Again, Seeks Court Order for Tether to Transfer $344 Million
On May 15th, lawyer Charles Gerstein, who is leading the Arbitrum asset seizure case, filed a motion with the federal court requesting Tether to transfer approximately $344 million worth of frozen USDT to victims holding unresolved terrorism judgments against Iran. The USDT was previously frozen due to its association with the IRGC sanctioned by OFAC. Gerstein argued that Tether should use these assets to settle long-standing unpaid judgments against Iran.
