Paradigm and Tempo jointly open-source the AI Agent runtime framework Centaur
According to Beating Monitoring, Paradigm and Tempo jointly open-sourced Centaur, an on-premises, multi-user collaborative, and secure AI agent runtime framework. Since 2026, it has been widely used within Paradigm, transforming processes such as investment, engineering, design, and recruitment. Centaur can serve as a shared "virtual employee," supporting long-duration operation, resilience to restarts, and the use of real tools without accessing original credentials through Slack threads or API calls. Just add tools or SKILL.md once, and the entire organization can share it; it also performs daily self-reflection and improvement. Currently, the core code and templates have been open-sourced, with plans to further enhance user space capabilities in the future.
