Whenever a new hot topic comes up, I get itchy to jump in, on-chain queuing, paying extra priority fees, grabbing an entry point and thinking I understand a lot... But looking back, attention is actually the biggest fee.
Re-staking / sharing security / stacking yields—being criticized as "nested" is no surprise. Basically, it's treating narratives as collateral, layering leverage on top of each other, ultimately leaving you holding a bunch of certificates and staring blankly.
My current approach is very simple: when I see hot words, I don't rush in first. I check contract permissions, upgrade paths, liquidation routes, and exit queues; then I look at where liquidity comes from, who’s taking over, and who’s still willing to pay when gas fees are high.
If I really want to participate, I do small amounts, set withdrawal conditions. If I miss out, I miss out. Anyway, I’ve been through too many hot trends bouncing back and forth.
