Sometimes on-chain data looks like it's "stuck for a moment," but it doesn't necessarily mean the chain is actually slow. Many times, it's the indexers/Subgraphs catching up with blocks, rebuilding indexes, or RPCs being rate-limited. If you refresh for a long time and still see the same block height, basically, the "translation" layer you're viewing is congested. Especially during volatile market conditions, when everyone is checking balances and transactions, public RPCs are more prone to glitches, making it feel like latency suddenly hits the max.

Recently, there's been talk about certain regions increasing taxes, tightening or loosening compliance, and the expectations for deposits and withdrawals changing. When on-chain interactions suddenly surge, the data sources become more fragile and obvious. I now prefer to compare data from two or more sources; before placing an order, I’d rather wait a few minutes to confirm, so I don’t get emotionally thrown off by a quick "stuck" moment.
