SpaceX IPO prospectus discloses related-party transactions: purchasing from Tesla reaching $890 million since 2023
The IPO prospectus disclosed by SpaceX shows that since 2023, SpaceX and xAI have contributed approximately $890 million in revenue to Tesla, mainly from energy storage business. In 2024 and 2025, xAI will purchase $191 million and $506 million worth of Megapack energy storage batteries from Tesla respectively to support AI infrastructure development, and last year also purchased about $131 million worth of Cybertruck electric pickups. The prospectus also states that Tesla and SpaceX are jointly building the Terafab semiconductor manufacturing plant.
