AIMPACT News, May 13 (UTC+8), according to The Wall Street Journal, citing sources familiar with the matter, Anthropic's recent investment offers have valued the company at over $900 billion, doubling its current valuation and surpassing OpenAI for the first time. Earlier this year, OpenAI was valued at $852 billion in a funding round. Anthropic's "revenue run rate" is expected to reach $50 billion by the end of next month, having exceeded $30 billion in April, while it is only $9 billion by the end of 2025. The company originally projected a tenfold growth this year, but in the first quarter, it actually achieved approximately 80 times annualized revenue and usage growth. In comparison, OpenAI stated at the end of March that its monthly revenue reached $2 billion, equivalent to an annualized $24 billion. However, the data from the two companies are not entirely comparable, as Anthropic includes revenue from sales through cloud service partners, while OpenAI does not use the same method. An OpenAI spokesperson also stated that the monthly revenue data is not intended to serve as an exact annualized run rate. (Source: BlockBeats)
