Golden Finance reports that on May 13th, the Ethereum Foundation announced that the Clear Signatures feature is now officially live.
This is an open standard aimed at ending blind signatures, with default support for human-readable transaction information.
This move brings significant user experience and security upgrades to on-chain Ethereum transaction signing.
Currently, signing a transaction is still equivalent to authorizing a string of unreadable hexadecimal code, which is the so-called blind signature.
Blind signatures have caused billions of dollars in losses across the entire crypto ecosystem.
After enabling Clear Signatures, transaction information will be displayed in plain, understandable text, no longer in obscure technical code.
An Ethereum working group is launching this open standard to address the security risks associated with blind signatures.
