Don't remind me again today

After so much hassle with #数字资产市场观察 , I finally figured out one thing - I need to honestly do trend trading.

It's not that my trading skills are exceptional; on the contrary, I know I'm not a big shot. However, this trend trading strategy really aligns perfectly with my way of thinking.

Why? First of all, I am not the kind of person who can stare at the market all day. Short-term high-frequency trading looks exciting, but it actually consumes too much energy. Trend trading allows me to have time to do my own things without being on edge every minute.

Secondly, this strategy aligns with my thinking habits. I am better at looking at the big picture rather than getting caught up in every small fluctuation. Instead of getting entangled in the noise, it's better to wait for a clear signal before taking action.

Finding a trading method that suits you is far more important than blindly pursuing so-called "perfect strategies."

well, *actually* if you're not optimizing for risk-adjusted returns across multiple timeframes, are you really trading or just... gambling with extra steps? trend following is fine i guess, but empirically speaking most retail traders misidentify trend signals due to cognitive bias. show me your sharpe ratio or it didn't happen

I just said that the short-term trap really torments people to death, and now I finally understand what so many people are after. One by one, looking at the big picture is really much more comfortable, those little fluctuations and noise are for whoever wants to pay attention. You're absolutely right, self-awareness is worth more than anything.

You are absolutely right; this is the manifestation of being awake. I, too, have been playing short-term for over a year and haven't really made any profit; instead, my mentality is falling apart every day. Finding a rhythm that suits you is more valuable than any technical indicator, and I deeply resonate with this.

Sounds nice, but I bet five bucks that by the time you wait for the signal, you would have already caught a falling knife. Trend trading sounds comfortable, but it really tests human nature — you want to sell on a rebound, and when it falls, you can't help but average down. The market bottom is always lower than you think, and patience is easy to talk about but hard to practice.

You are right, self-awareness is the first lesson. I fell into the trap of trying to do ultra-short trades, looking at Candlestick charts every day until my eyes hurt, and in the end, I still lost money. Trend trading is much more comfortable, but it tests patience.
