Unable to log in to the cryptocurrency exchange or wallet? Here are the correct steps to take if you cannot restore the Google Authenticator code.

Common Causes

  • Lost or broken smartphone
  • Issues during accidental deletion or OS updates

Countermeasures

Method 1: If you have saved the recovery key

If you have recorded the recovery key (QR code or alphanumeric) displayed during the initial setup of two-factor authentication, you can restore it on a new device. This key is displayed only once, so make sure not to lose it.

Method 2: If you have lost your recovery key

The process will be as follows: verify with the registered email and phone number → pass the additional verification → send a manual release request to the administration.

It takes 1 to 3 business days to respond. A key security tip is to register multiple contact methods.

Lesson

The important thing is the preparation of the recovery key. Be sure to record it in a safe place before starting trading.
