Whatnot Closes $545M Series G Funding at $20B Valuation, Doubling Valuation Since Last Year

According to CNBC, live shopping platform Whatnot closed a $545 million Series G round on Friday, valuing the company at $20 billion—nearly doubling its valuation of $11.5 billion from less than a year ago. The round was led by Iconiq, Lightspeed, and Avra. CEO Grant LaFontaine said the investment will enable the company to expand seller tools, integrate AI, and enter new markets.

Whatnot reported adding more than 650,000 new users weekly and surpassing $8 billion in gross merchandise volume. The company ranks No. 8 on the 2026 CNBC Disruptor 50 list and has raised approximately $1.5 billion since its 2019 founding.
