US Share of India Exports Remains Around 20% Despite Year of Trump Tariffs

According to Jin10, US President Trump's tariffs on Indian goods have had little impact on trade patterns over the past year through July 2026. The US still accounts for approximately 20% of India's total exports, according to an analysis of India's trade ministry data. Tariff rates on Indian goods have fluctuated significantly, reaching as high as 50% before being reduced to 18% in February 2026 and currently standing at 10%. Despite months of high-level negotiations between the two countries, India and the US have not yet signed a trade agreement.
