Gate has launched a compensation program in response to extreme volatility in the TUT, Lobster, and BICO perpetual contracts. Users affected by liquidations will receive full compensation in USDT.

Gate News reported that, according to Gate’s official announcement on August 9, 2026, the TUT, Lobster, and BICO perpetual contract markets experienced severe volatility at approximately 15:10 (UTC+8) on August 9, accompanied by substantial on-chain fund movements that affected multiple platforms. Gate launched a special investigation and risk-control review into the suspicious transactions.

To maintain fair market trading, Gate decided to provide full compensation in USDT to customers whose positions were liquidated during this market event. The applicable calculation windows are 15:10:00–15:14:00 on August 9 (UTC+8) for the TUT perpetual contract, and 15:12:00–15:16:00 on August 9 (UTC+8) for the Lobster and BICO perpetual contracts. Compensation will cover all losses incurred by affected users as a result of liquidations during the corresponding periods and will be paid in USDT.

Affected users must submit the relevant information to apply within seven days of the announcement’s publication. After completing its verification, the platform will distribute compensation in batches, with all distributions to be completed within three business days. Gate also stated that it has established a dedicated processing channel. Affected customers can contact the platform through official Customer Support and other channels. The platform has also opened a channel at support@gate.com for reporting information about abnormal transactions, and users who provide valid information will receive corresponding rewards.
