South Korea's Listed Companies Hit 747 with Value Enhancement Plans; KOSDAQ Participation Lags at 33%

According to Korea's financial investment industry, as of the end of July, a total of 747 listed companies disclosed corporate value enhancement plans, accounting for 84.6% of the total market capitalization. Among them, 348 companies are on KOSPI and 399 on KOSDAQ.

KOSPI-listed companies account for 41.8% of all KOSPI-listed firms with 88.4% of market capitalization, while KOSDAQ participation remains limited at 22.9% of companies and 32.6% of market value. Industry officials note that implementation of disclosed targets and expanding participation among mid-cap firms on KOSDAQ will become key benchmarks for the program's success.
