KOSDAQ Poised to Outperform KOSPI as Robotics and Biotech Emerge as Next Dominant Themes, SK Securities Says

According to SK Securities, KOSDAQ market has begun meeting conditions to outperform KOSPI, with robotics and biotech identified as leading themes on August 10. Researcher Na Seung-doo noted that KOSDAQ currently satisfies key factors that drove outperformance in the past, including favorable market rotation following leading stock rallies, strong policy push to revitalize the secondary board, and emergence of next-generation dominant sectors.

SK Securities highlighted four conditions necessary for KOSDAQ outperformance: favorable liquidity and interest rate environment, a gap in KOSPI leadership cycle, implementation of KOSDAQ activation policies, and profit growth in leading industries. The firm emphasized that outperformance is more durable when backed by actual earnings growth rather than pure thematic narratives.
