According to CCTV, Israeli governing coalition chair Ophir Katz and faction leaders jointly submitted a bill to dissolve parliament today (May 13), which could trigger early parliamentary elections. The bill seeks to end the current Knesset term early; a new election date would be determined by the parliament's House Committee. Israel's parliamentary elections are currently scheduled no later than October 27, 2026.
