India Rejects U.S.-Sanctioned Russian LNG, Tanker Stranded in April

According to Reuters and two sources familiar with the matter, India rejected Russia's offer to sell U.S.-sanctioned liquefied natural gas (LNG) in mid-April, leaving a tanker stranded. The LNG cargo, originating from Russia's Portovaya Baltic facility, could not be unloaded despite the vessel initially being designated for India. Negotiations regarding permitted cargo remain ongoing.
