Electrum Releases 4.8.2 with Critical Lightning Wallet Backup Fix

According to ChainCatcher, Electrum released version 4.8.2, fixing a critical backup issue affecting Lightning wallets using non-deterministic keys and anchor channels. The flaw could cause users to lose funds when attempting to force-close channels, as backup files may lack the necessary keys to move funds on-chain. Affected users will receive a warning on startup and should export new backups; previous backups cannot correctly restore funds in this scenario. The update also strengthens Lightning HTLC validation, rejects malformed xpub/xprv keys, and prevents Android QR code scanners from reading screenshots.
