Blue Origin's New Glenn Rocket Fails to Reach Intended Orbit, Satellite Expected to Deorbit

Gate News message, April 20 — Blue Origin launched a refurbished New Glenn heavy-lift rocket on April 19 carrying a communications satellite for U.S.-based AST SpaceMobile. While the rocket's first stage was successfully recovered at sea, the second stage failed to place the satellite into its intended orbit, and the satellite is expected to deorbit and fall back to Earth.

The mission marked a significant setback for Blue Origin's New Glenn program, which aims to compete in the heavy-lift launch market.
