Blash Asset Management CEO Recommends 50-50 Portfolio Split: Cut Semiconductor Exposure, Add Biotech for H2 2026

According to an interview with Daily Economy, Baek Ji-yoon, CEO of Blash Asset Management, recommended a restructured investment portfolio for the second half of 2026. He proposed allocating 50% to Samsung Electronics and 50% to Kosdaq biotech stocks and small-cap names, citing anticipated broadening of market inflows beyond the semiconductor sector that dominated H1 2026.

Baek noted that while large-cap semiconductor shares rallied significantly in H1, near-term consolidation is expected. He highlighted the biotech sector's valuation attractiveness following a pullback and identified potential catalysts including new licensing deals and clinical trial results, alongside overlooked small-cap opportunities poised for revaluation as market focus diversifies.
