Bitcoin surged past $72,000, reaching its highest level in three weeks, following a temporary ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran. President Trump agreed to pause airstrikes for two weeks, while Iran committed to temporarily reopening the Strait of Hormuz. The announcement came less than two hours before Trump's deadline for Iranian action.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs listed in the U.S. also saw renewed investor demand, with recent inflows reversing previous outflows. Net inflows stabilized in March after months of declining interest.
