BAC-5.12%
According to CNBC, Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan said on Wednesday that the company spends more than $250 million per year covering GLP-1 weight loss drugs for its roughly 211,000 employees. Moynihan told CNBC's Andrew Ross Sorkin that the spending, which was zero four to five years ago, reflects a worthwhile investment in workforce health, and the company pairs drug access with health coaching while leveraging its size to negotiate lower prices from drugmakers.
