Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) issued $4.75 billion in bonds on August 13, setting a company record for debt issuance size, according to a filing on the company's official website. The bonds were structured into four tranches with maturities of 3, 5, 7, and 10 years, carrying coupon rates between 4.6% and 5.5%. The 10-year bonds command a 90 basis point spread over U.S. 10-year Treasuries. Settlement is expected on August 17. AMD said the proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including potential debt repayment.
