Accel Closes $3.5 Billion Across Four AI-Focused Funds for Global Early-Stage Investing

According to Bloomberg, Accel announced the close of $3.5 billion across four new funds for early-stage investments globally. The Global Expansion Fund raised $1.35 billion for larger early-stage rounds and follow-on investments, while the U.S. Fund and Europe & Israel Fund each raised $800 million; the India Fund closed at $550 million. Accel has previously backed AI companies including Anthropic, Cursor, and Perplexity.
