WTI August crude oil futures rose $6.73, or 9.42%, to $78.14 per barrel. Abu Dhabi Murban crude advanced 9.78% to $77.91 per barrel. NYMEX August natural gas futures settled at $2.8970 per million BTU, while gasoline futures closed at $3.1663 per gallon and heating oil futures at $3.8236 per gallon.
