According to ABC News, U.S. Energy Secretary Wright said on Sunday that a nuclear agreement with Iran may not be achievable in the near term, and the United States may need to take military action to address threats from Tehran. "There may not be a nuclear agreement," Wright stated, "or it may simply be to destroy their ability to carry out a nuclear program." He added that an agreement "may only come into being when Iran's next government takes office," noting that certainty remains unclear at present.
