U.S. 30-Year Treasury Yield Hits 5.216% on August 13, Highest Since 2001

According to the U.S. Treasury Department, on August 13, the government issued $25 billion in 30-year Treasury bonds at a yield of 5.216%, the highest level since 2001. The yield surpassed 5.0% for the fourth consecutive month, marking a 15.8 basis point increase from July's 5.058%. The bid-to-cover ratio stood at 2.39x.
