SKR is the native token introduced by Solana Mobile to coordinate governance and economic activity across its mobile-focused ecosystem. The total supply is capped at 10 billion tokens, with 30% allocated to airdrops and early-stage unlocks to support initial growth and community onboarding.
This distribution highlights a deliberate emphasis on early participation, positioning users and contributors as foundational stakeholders rather than passive consumers.
To reward early supporters and encourage sustained engagement, SKR operates under a linear inflation model. New tokens are issued every 48 hours, starting with an annual inflation rate of 10%, which then decreases by 25% each year.
Once inflation reaches 2%, the supply enters a more stable, long-term phase. During this period, users are encouraged to stake their SKR holdings, allowing them to participate in inflation rewards while contributing to network stability.
Seeker is Solana Mobile’s second Web3 smartphone, designed as a more accessible successor to the original Saga device. Following the opening of pre-orders last January, demand exceeded expectations, with over 150,000 units reserved, and global shipments beginning in August across more than 50 countries.
Rather than functioning as a standalone gadget, Seeker is positioned as a primary gateway into the Solana Mobile ecosystem.
At the infrastructure level, Solana Mobile relies on the TEEPin network architecture, which combines Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) with DePIN-style decentralized physical infrastructure. This design enables:
Through the Seeker device, users can mint a non-transferable Genesis Token, which acts as a credential for unlocking exclusive on-chain rewards and ecosystem experiences.
A core principle of the Solana Mobile ecosystem is community ownership. SKR holders can participate in governance decisions, while the mobile platform supports a wide range of on-chain activities, including:
By integrating SKR with Seeker, mobile devices are transformed from simple access tools into active components of the Web3 economy.
Through the combination of SKR’s token design, the Seeker smartphone, and the TEEPin infrastructure, Solana Mobile is experimenting with a decentralized, mobile-first ecosystem built around community participation. By linking hardware, governance, and economic incentives, this approach offers a concrete framework for exploring how Web3 applications can evolve within everyday mobile environments.
