Former Newstar Media General Counsel Joins Affinity Internet, Inc.

El Segundo, Calif. - Affinity Internet, Inc. announced it has hired Robert C. Murray to serve as vice president, general counsel to oversee and manage all aspects of the company's legal activities. As such, Murray will oversee mergers and acquisitions, financial transactions, partnerships and general corporate matters.

Prior to joining Affinity, Murray was vice president, general counsel and secretary for Newstar Media Inc., formerly known as Dove Entertainment. At Newstar, he was responsible for all legal activities, including all contract matters, litigation, television, theatrical and print acquisition and distribution, SEC and NASDAQ compliance, general corporate matters and business affairs supervision.

From 1989 through 1997, Murray worked for O'Melveny and Myers, including time in the firm's Hong Kong office. While at O'Melveny and Myers, his practice focused on complex financing transactions, including asset securitization and general corporate and transactional law.

Murray holds a juris doctor degree from Stanford Law School and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
