| Data Backup and Restore |
| Backups are copies of the data stored on your hard drive, located on off-line storage. Should your hard drive fail, data errors occur or a file is accidentally deleted, they can all be restored from your off-line storage. StoreIt! backup makes archive data backups easy, and restores as fast, flexible and low-impact as possible. |
| Policy Based Backups |
| Automated network backup uses a granular policy engine that automates backup procedures. Policies allow you total control of your automated backup, all the way down to the individual file level. |
| Web Based Console |
| The Web based console lets you manage backups from any platform, and any place on the Web. The administrator can navigate, logon and perform functions on any server or Web "backup archive client" from a supported Web browser. |
| 15 Days of Incremental Backup |
| StoreIt! backup by default uses an incremental backup strategy. Only files that have changed or are new get backed-up. This eliminates unnecessary data transfers that count against your data transfer allotment. |
| Restart Backups and Restore When You Are Ready |
| StoreIt! gives you the ability to restart from where you left off if a backup or restore is interrupted. This saves critical time by not having to start a backup or restore all over again. |

| Managed Data Archive and Retrieve |
Data archives contain data copied from your hard drive to our network attached storage. Archives are used to keep point-in-time copies of important data for regulatory or bookkeeping requirements and to move inactive data from limited hard drive space to our network attached storage. The Storage Manager client can quickly and easily help retrieve the archived data, effectively extending your data storage capabilities without the need for more hard drive space. |

| Data Security |
There is a belief among some that RAID storage is a backup solution, a dangerous misconception because of its inherent lack of data security. RAID stores all your data on another hard drive, however it copies over existing data with the new. If you receive a virus or corrupt file the RAID copies it to your backup and you no longer have a valid backup file. |

Common Issue |
Automated Network Backup |
| Single Tape Drive |
Expensive option that does not offer high reliability. |
Based upon a centralized database Automated Network Backup enables easy monitoring and control from a Web based interface. Fees are as low as $35 per month. |
| Managing tapes for each individual server requires manual effort and leads to human error. |
Automatically backs up only edited data and creates a “set it and forget it” experience. |
| Require multiple backup software to account for different platforms. |
Works on Linux, Windows, and Unix operating systems. |
